If you have an abstract in the book and/or presented at Research Day, it is recommended that you record the event in your academic CV. There are many ways to do so. Here is one approach:
- Create a section called PUBLICATIONS in your CV
- Under that section, create a subsection called PEER REVIEWED. (If you have other, non-peer reviewed publications, such as magazine articles, you can add them under another subheading, perhaps called NON-PEER REVIEWED)
- If you have additional academic publications, such as a journal article, create another subsection called JOURNAL ARTICLES for those, and a subsection called CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS
- Under CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS, add:
The names of the presenters, (the date of the conference), the title of your poster, Canadian Society for Epidemiology & Biostatistics – University of Ottawa Research Day, Ottawa, Canada.
For example:
Hempinstall M, Yau J, (Dec 5, 2015), The relationship between electronic media use before bed and sleep deprivation in school-aged children and adolescents, Canadian Society for Epidemiology & Biostatistics – University of Ottawa Research Day, Ottawa, Canada.
And if you’ve added your poster to the University’s document repository, you can include the link, if you wish.
Instructions for submitting a PDF of your poster to the University of Ottawa repository can be found here.
